Program description:
Our Learning & Enrichment Program provides children with meaningful opportunities to grow, explore, and develop the social, emotional, cognitive, and academic skills needed for lifelong success. We are committed to creating and maintaining a nurturing, engaging environment that encourages self-discovery while providing intentional, teacher-guided learning experiences each day.
Our comprehensive weekly lesson plans include instruction in language and literacy, phonics, mathematics, music and movement, science, art, physical education, social-emotional development, and other enriching learning experiences. Children also benefit from small-group instruction, allowing teachers to provide individualized support, reinforce concepts, and meet each child's unique developmental needs. Joshua's Place utilizes the Investigator ClubTM Prekindergarten Learning System, a comprehensive, research-based curriculum designed to prepare children for kindergarten by supporting growth across all developmental domains. Through hands-on investigations, purposeful play, and developmentally appropriate instruction, children build the foundational skills necessary for future academic achievement.
Our program is led by an Executive Director who is a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of pediatric nursing experience. Her extensive healthcare background enhances our commitment to children's overall well-being, health, and development. She remains a dedicated advocate for early identification and intervention, working collaboratively with families and community partners to ensure that children receive the services and support they need to reach their fullest potential.
